Inaugural Charity Horse Show
Resounding Success for Byron Lions
The "Ride for Sight" Charity Horse Show brought more than 400 entries to Southeast Arena April 10-11, and much needed funds to support club programs.
The Second Annual "Ride for Sight" Charity Horse Show is already set for April 9-10, 2011 at Southeast Arena, Unadilla, GA.
With proceeds from the 2010 show, the Byron Lions Club will be able to continue to provide services like eye exams, eyeglasses and eye surgeries to those in the local area in need. It will also allow us to continue to support many worthy organizations like the Georgia Lions Camp for the Blind, the Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic, the Lions Club International Foundation, the American Cancer Society, the Boy Scouts of America and may others.
The "Ride for Sight" Charity Horse Show began with an open show on Saturday, April 10, followed by a Hunter/Jumper show on Sunday. In addition to the show, the weekend featured a Friday night competitors party, vendors and a silent auction. Free eye examinations were offered to area children. |
